Policies

Photos: I understand that photos of my pet’s grooms become a part of the groomer’s personal portfolio and may be posted on the internet.

Aggression: I understand that any dog is capable of aggression. My groomer is experienced with animal behavior and will honestly communicate with me how my dog behaved. Bad behavior doesn’t mean my dog can’t be groomed, but I understand my groomer may take more time, use a muzzle, and the haircut may not be perfect. I agree to be honest about previous grooming experiences. I understand aggressive dogs should be brought more often, not less for best results.

Emergencies: I understand accidents are rare, but there is a risk when working with animals who don’t always understand to stay still around sharp equipment. In the event of an emergency, I authorize this establishment to seek professional veterinarian attention for my pet (at my expense unless otherwise discussed with the groomer). I will not hold this establishment responsible for any pre-existing health problems my pet might have.

Coat Condition: I understand that the groomer puts my pet’s comfort and health above style. If my pet’s coat is matted, it may have to be shaved or cut shorter than I desire rather than perform a painful de-matting procedure. I understand that severe matts can cause increased risk for clipper burn or cuts to occur. Matted pets take additional time to groom so there may be an additional fee added on to the regular grooming price.

Flea/Tick: I understand that if the groomer discovers fleas/ticks on my pet, I will be charged an additional $10 with no exceptions. I give permission for the groomer to treat with an oral medication (Capstar) if needed which will kill any fleas on my pet and only lasts for 24 hrs. I know this prevents the spread of fleas to other clients. I will not hold this establishment responsible for any adverse reactions.

Health: I will inform the groomer if my pet has any heart conditions/stress related issues. I also understand that it is necessary to have my pet current on their Rabies vaccination prior to every grooming (for the safety of the groomer) and that DA2PP is recommended but not required. I understand kennel cough (Bordetella) and influenza vaccines are not required by my groomer because they do not necessarily prevent my pet from possible infection. My groomer takes sanitation seriously but cannot be held responsible for any illness contracted.

Satisfaction: I understand that if I am unsatisfied with my pet’s groom, I have the option of respectfully informing the groomer within 24 hours so that style adjustments can be made (if possible) at no charge to me and at my convenience. If changes cannot be made immediately, I understand the groomer will make notes and gladly attempt another style at the next grooming appointment should I choose to schedule with them again. (No refunds for any reason.)
